In 2024, more than 80 countries are holding elections, meaning nearly half the world's population is going to the polls. It's not just politics; it's a crucial chance for change. Decisions following these elections will impact the world. To tackle urgent threats like climate change and biodiversity loss, we need leaders who prioritise a just society, healthy people and thriving nature. Our future on Earth is on the ballot. Join us to hear why this election year is so crucial, how it can be a positive force for change, and the obstacles (and opportunities) we face to make change a reality.

Chair: Pierre Cannet, Global Head of Public Affairs and Policy, ClientEarth

  • Mert Kumru, Campaigner, World's Youth for Climate Justice (WY4CJ)
