Focus

Ugo Taddei joined ClientEarth in 2014 and is based in our Brussels office.

Ugo oversees the development of ClientEarth's legal strategies to shift transport and materials systems to bring Europe into the safe and just space where no one falls short of life's essentials, and where we do not overshoot our pressure on Earth's life-supporting systems. Ugo also focuses on developing strategies to use the power of the law to leverage the fundamental role that cities can play to accelerate the shift to more sustainable and just societies.

Experience

Before joining ClientEarth, Ugo was a lawyer with the Italian law firm SLCG in Florence and Milan (Italy), practising in commercial litigation and arbitration. He is a qualified lawyer in Italy.

Education

Ugo graduated with first class honours in both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies. He holds a degree in law from the University of Florence (Italy) and a degree in environmental law and policy from the University College London (LLM). He was awarded the Francis Taylor Building Prize for Environmental Law 2014.

Working at ClientEarth is a unique opportunity to use my legal expertise to ensure greater environmental protection. Knowing that every day our work gives a significant contribution to achieve a cleaner and healthier environment is extraordinarily rewarding.
