As our Chief Programmes and Impact Officer Maria-Krystyna is accountable for ClientEarth’s global programmatic activity and for delivering against the organisation’s intended impact globally.
Prior to ClientEarth, Maria-Krystyna advised the New Zealand Government on the economic, social and wellbeing impacts of climate and environmental policy. She spent ten years in private practice in Paris, London and Hong Kong advising clients on international arbitration, international law, international human rights and constitutional law. She has also worked for several international organisations on women’s economic empowerment and economic development. She has had a parallel career teaching law at King's College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Victoria University.
She is a Solicitor-Advocate admitted to practice in England & Wales. She holds a double Bachelors in French and English literature from the Sorbonne University; a Masters in Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and a Masters in International Business and Politics from New York University. She also holds a certificate in Law, War and Human Rights from the London School of Economics and an Executive Certificate in Environmental Governance and Policy-Making from the Graduate Institute in Geneva.
