Image of Karla Hill 

Karla Hill is ClientEarth’s director of programmes, in which role she coordinates strategy and activities across all programme areas.

Prior to taking this position she led our work on climate change and energy law, regulation and policy in the London office, working with public interest organisations and policy-makers at the interface of climate, energy and environment issues.

Before joining ClientEarth, she held roles in the climate and energy team of the Sustainable Development Commission, the UK government's independent sustainability advisor, and in the UK government. She also practised environmental and public law.

Karla is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. She holds degrees in Laws (Honours) and Arts (Geography) from the University of Auckland. She is a fellow of The RSA.
