Emily joined ClientEarth's Brussels office as a Staff lawyer in April 2011 as a part of the Climate & forests team, focussing on illegal logging.
 
Before joining ClientEarth Emily was a practising solicitor with with Bates Wells & Braithwaite LLP, advising on environmental law. Prior to that Emily co-ordinated research on forest and agriculture-related issues for Greenpeace International. She has a wide experience of working with environment and social NGOs internationally.
 
Emily holds a Masters in International Environmental Law from SOAS, a postgraduate diploma in Law (City University) and a MA in Geography, trained at Bird & Bird LLP and is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
