ClientEarth welcomes appointment of Vince Cable as Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills 12 May 2010 | Press release ClientEarth welcomes today’s announcement that Dr Vince Cable has been appointed as Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills. We are extremely happy to see someone of Dr Cable’s experience, independence of thought and progressive ideals in a position of such importance. ClientEarth is particularly looking forward to seeing the development of corporate governance, transparency and accountability under Dr Cable’s tenure. We were interested to see the Liberal Democrat manifesto commitment to reintroduce the Operating and Financial Review, and look forward to working with the government to develop its programme around that key regulatory framework. |
