This briefing is a response to the draft Interim Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) Partnership Agreement. The draft was published in May 2010 and is intended to address a broad range of aspects of REDD+, including by improving knowledge transfer and enhancing capacity, mitigation actions and technology development.
It is crucial that civil society is fully represented and able to participate in decision-making processes if the outcomes are to be legitimised, of high quality and effectively implemented. ClientEarth’s briefing outlines key recommendations for including civil society in the REDD+ partnership process.
